Central Coast Coffee Roasters Named Official ROEST Reseller in Australia
Empowering Australian roasters with precision technology, quality, and local support.
ROEST is excited to announce Central Coast Coffee Roasters as our official distributor in Australia. This family business, led by Rhys and Katrina Evans, has been at the heart of specialty coffee roasting in Australia for over a decade. Their passion for coffee, commitment to quality, and deep familiarity with ROEST machines make them a great partner to bring our products to the Australian market.
The story of Central Coast Coffee Roasters began in 2012 when Graeme Evans started roasting coffee and delivering it to customers across the country. Graeme was an early adopter of specialty coffee roasting, focusing on producing high-quality filter roasts. His dedication helped establish Central Coast Coffee Roasters as a trusted name in the industry.
In 2023, Graeme passed the business to his son Rhys and daughter-in-law Katrina. Building on the foundation Graeme created, Rhys and Katrina expanded the business, introducing new coffee options and offering a curated selection of high-quality brewing and roasting equipment. They’ve remained committed to weekly roasting, ensuring every batch meets their high standards.
The Evans family has had a close connection with ROEST machines for years. Graeme was among the first in Australia to use the L100 Plus, using it to roast specialty filter coffee for Central Coast Coffee’s customers. When Rhys took over, he continued the relationship with ROEST by investing in a roaster of his own. Since then, they’ve added a second ROEST machine to meet growing demand and are eagerly awaiting the release of the P3000.
Rhys speaks highly of the precision and consistency that ROEST machines deliver. “Batch to batch, the results are spot-on,” he says. “Once a roast profile is dialed in, I can let the machine do its job while I focus on bagging coffee or handling admin. Even minor adjustments, like 5-10 seconds longer or shorter in the roaster, can make a big difference in the cup, and ROEST sample roaster gives me that control.”
Recently, Rhys and Katrina faced a significant challenge: producing 250 small-batch roasts in just two weeks. Using their two ROEST sample roasters, they completed the project on time without sacrificing quality. For them, the machines’ ease of use, reliability, and consistency were critical to meeting the tight deadline.
In addition to roasting, Central Coast Coffee Roasters is now focused on supporting other Australian businesses that use ROEST machines. Their showroom is equipped to demonstrate live roasting, allowing customers to experience the machine in action and taste the coffee immediately afterward. They will also handle repairs, servicing, and support locally, ensuring Australian roasters have quick access to the help they need.
Looking ahead, Rhys and Katrina are preparing to take their own production to the next level with the ROEST P3000. By replacing their 5kg gas roaster with the P3000, they aim to improve efficiency and consistency while automating parts of the roasting process.
We are excited to have Central Coast Coffee Roasters on board and look forward to seeing how their expertise helps more Australian roasters succeed with ROEST.
